"It is important to me that art reaches every corner of society. It makes life visible, breaks the silence, creates mirrors and writes the history of the future. It is also important in art to recognise what is out in the open and what remains easily hidden. This is also directly linked to who art and culture are intended for and who the artist is.
It is an immense honour to serve as patron of the Tapiola Sinfonietta Queer Festival. I’m really looking forward to enjoying the festival’s wonderful performances and perhaps even taking to the stage myself at some point… My heartfelt wish is that people will turn out in droves. Both members of the queer community and all other lovers of art and music. There is immense power and hope in coming together. It feels particularly important at this very moment.
