Godchildren

Tapiola Sinfonietta invites its youngest listeners to a unique musical experience. In 2019, the orchestra launched a series of special concerts aimed at expectant families and their future babies. In 2025–2026, Synnyn concerts will be organized for expectant families.

The godchild concert series consists of three stages: concerts during the waiting period, performances for babies, and events for toddlers. The events are free of charge but require advance registration. Come and experience the magic of music with the youngest members of your family!

Synnyn concert for expectant parents and parents-to-be

Embark on a moving musical journey into the miracle of pregnancy.
Synnyn combines the sensitivity of chamber music, the rhythm of poetry, and the power of breath into a work that transports the listener from the starry sky to the moment of birth.

The music was composed by Aili Järvelä. Performers include the Tapiola Sinfonietta small ensemble, music educators Elisa Seppänen and Heidi Tamper, and actress Ulriikka Heikinheimo. The director is Aina Bergroth.

Let the music, words, and rhythms strengthen your connection with your unborn child – and prepare yourself for the greatest encounter of your life.

The concert is part of the Tapiola Sinfonietta's godchild program, which will continue in 2027–2028 with babies born in Espoo in 2026.

Kaksi henkilöä pitelee vaaleansinistä lakanaa, jonka päällä makaa pieni, yksinkertainen nukke.
Sellisti istuu ja vieressä henkilö pitelee kädessään rumpua, joka on läpivalaistu.
